Scheduled weekly lessons are offered for ages 7 and up and last up to two hours.
You should arrive 30 minutes before your lesson time to get your horse ready.
You will be mounted for about an hour, and after the lesson it will take 30 minutes to take care of your horse.
Correct riding attire is mandatory. It is for your safety that you wear a hard-soled shoe with a small heel. Paddock boots or tall boots are preferred but a small pair of hiking boots will do until you are able to buy a pair of riding boots. Tennis shoes and sneakers are not allowed for riding. Long pants, stretch pants, chaps , breeches, and jodphurs are ideal.
An ASTM/SEI approved helmet is required for all riders. We have several approved school helmets in different sizes for you to borrow in your first few lessons, but then it is strongly recommended that you buy your own for a better and more secure fit to your head. A bike helmet is not designed for horseback riding.
Please call us if you have questions about where to buy riding clothes locally.
